I started my working career at the age of 10 with a job at the car wash where he was paid $3 a day plus all the coins in the soda machine. His parents told him that if he wanted anything in life he had to work for it and he did. He saved his money and made his first big purchase:a drum set from the local music store.

This work ethic later helped him achieve the role of district and regional managers for McDonald's and Arby’s Corporation.

Eliot graduated cum laude from Indiana State University with Bachelor Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Management, Accounting and Finance. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education along with a minor in Recreation, Sport and Facility Management. He then earned his Masters of Retail Shipping Management.

His first job out of college was District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America. With in four years, he was promoted to District Finance Director in 2007 before completing his tenure with the organization to start his own business.

The retail shipping world became his next venture when he opened his first pack and ship store In Collinsville, Illinois in the fall of 2007. He soon realized, after a few months, what works at one location could work at a second and a third. Within 15 months, he was overseeing operations at three locations in the St. Louis Metro area. The Mail Box Store brand continued growing locally as well as nationally. Over the past 16 years, he’s overseen the daily operations at his three local locations and successfully helped over 65 new owners open their own packing, shipping and printing center around the country. Eliot’s passion for training and his desire to educate has allowed him to train hundreds of owners, managers and employees. Some of his memorable achievements include his Eagle Scout Award as a youth and the James E West Honor in 2004. He was honored to serve on the local Knights of Columbus Council and Assembly, as well as the state council. He was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow from his local Rotary Chapter.

Eliot is the prod father of two Daughters, Zoey (10) and Catherine (5), that are his pride and joy. Simply stated they are his 'WHY'.  They both have many hurtles in their lives medical, which is why he decided in the fall of 2023 to step out of the boardroom and back into the classroom.
