Welcome! My name is Ms. Ward, and I am so excited to be a Kindergarten teacher at Mascoutah Elementary School! I am passionate about creating a classroom where every child feels welcomed, valued, supported, and excited to learn.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and a Master’s degree in School Administration. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education (EdD) in Curriculum and Instruction at McKendree University. My educational journey reflects my passion for teaching, learning, leadership, and continuously growing as an educator.
Throughout my career, I have served as an elementary classroom teacher, AVID Site Coordinator, and curriculum writer. These experiences have strengthened my belief that students learn best when they feel safe, respected, encouraged, and connected to their teacher and classmates.
As a Kindergarten teacher, I look forward to helping our youngest learners build strong foundations in literacy, mathematics, social-emotional learning, and independence. I believe Kindergarten should be a place where students can learn, explore, create, make mistakes, and grow while developing a genuine love for school.
I am committed to building strong relationships with my students and their families and creating a classroom community where every child knows that they belong.
I’m so excited to learn, grow, and make memories with our Kindergarten family!
