Micah Erzinger

Welcome to Mascoutah Middle School and to Team Sierra! I am so happy that you are here and I can’t wait to begin one of the best (and most memorable!) years yet.

My name is Micah Erzinger and I will be your math teacher this year. This is my tenth year teaching and my third year teaching Math at Mascoutah! I graduated from SIUE with my Bachelor’s in Education in 2012 and Rockford University with my Master’s in Instructional Strategies in May 2019.

One main thing we will be focusing on this year (and every year!) is developing a growth mindset. Maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe you haven’t. Either way, know that your mindset, your effort, and your successes are your choice. Every. Single. Day.

I hear that Team Sierra is a team full of hard working, risk taking, courageous learners and I am so eager to get to know you and to see you rise to the challenges this school year will present. This year is one for the ages, but remember; if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you!
