I am one of three chemistry teachers at Mascoutah High School. Through our Chemistry course students will begin to understand conceptual applications and mathematical problem solving within the world of Chemistry. Students will explore various branches of Chemistry. Students will learn and exemplify safe laboratory techniques, as well as writing a lab report to convey findings.
Students will be graded based on a combination of in class work, homework, quizzes, tests, and labs. We try and give every student many different tools to learn every chapter.
We have a Google Classroom available for students to find materials digitally, ask questions, and turn in work. I also have a website that allows both students and parents access to all work that is handed out to students. That website is found below by clicking the Ward Chemistry link.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
My name is Jessica Ward. I live in Mascoutah with my husband Dave and our two children Davey and Layla. Davey is six and Layla is three. We also have two dogs named Butters and Morty and a cat we call Kitty.
I am a 2008 Belleville West graduate and moved onto Eastern Illinois University for my bachelors. At EIU I received my Bachelors in Science with a concentration in Chemistry with my certification in Secondary Education in 2012. I am currently working towards my Masters at McKendree University.
This is my fourth year teaching in Mascoutah and I absolutely love my tribe here. Prior to teaching in Mascoutah I taught Physics, Earth Science, and Chemistry in Bethalto at Civic Memorial for four years.
