Hello! I’m Ms. Moore, and I’m thrilled to be a Special Education teacher with Team Falcon. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I’m grateful for the journey that brought me here.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Cincinnati in 2021, where I also had the incredible opportunity to be a student-athlete on the women’s basketball team. After graduation, I chased a lifelong dream and played professional basketball overseas for a short time before returning to focus on education.
Wanting to grow even more in my profession, I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Special Education from Western Illinois University.
I’m originally from Granite City, Illinois, but now call Brentwood, Missouri home. When I’m not teaching, I love to travel, binge-watch Netflix, and make crafts. I’m also big on holidays—Halloween is hands-down my favorite!
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
— Leo Buscaglia
This quote reminds me that every moment with a student is an opportunity—to uplift, to listen, and to remind them that they matter. It’s those everyday connections that make this work so meaningful, and I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of it. 🌺
