As we plan for each season, we hope to work with businesses and generous individuals, such as you, to create a sustainable program that will allow as many students to participate in our program as possible. On an annual basis, the base cost to take a single veteran team through the season starts at $1,075 (rookie teams need an additional $1,200 to get the basic necessary equipment). For teams who advance to Super Qualifying (SQ) Tournaments or the State Championship, the fees multiply quickly. For a frame of reference, three of our four teams made it to SQ Tournaments last season and one team made it to the State Tournament. One or more teams have made it to the State Tournament every season since the start of our program. We are preparing to have even more success this season.

Annual Expenses for each FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Team:

    • Registration with FIRST $275
    • Equipment (replacement and supplemental parts) $500
    • Qualifying Tournament (QT) Fee $300
    • Minimum Expenses for a team that only goes to QT: $1,075 x6 teams = $6,450

Additional Costs depending on tournament outcomes:

    • Super Qualifying Tournament Fee $300
    • State Championship $400
    • Total Expenses for a team that advances to State: $1,675 x6 teams = $9,250
