In art, we will be working on creating art inspired by artists, cultures and other historical genres. We will use a variety of materials. The students with the help of the teacher becomes the "Art Curator" and then through "Art Practice" creates their own pieces.

Each Elementary School will look a little different in how art is delivered to your students. Contact your art teacher if you have any questions.

Practice looking at the artwork(s). Look at the subject matter, colors, shapes, near/far perspective, action, etc. How is it made? What's happening? Form opinions, feelings regarding the artwork. Talk about what you see! Everyone might see things a little different.

Artists draw ideas from the natural world as well as other artists, crafts, cultures and history. We practice using artist materials to develop our own ideas and expressions of our personal art.
