I am Mrs. Snyder, the School Counselor at both Downsville and Knapp Elementary Schools. 

The following is a description of the School District of the Menomonie Area Elementary School Counseling Program: 

Elementary Counselors...

...see children individual and in small groups on a short term basis. 

...facilitate classroom social emotional learning activities for all students. 

...work with teachers, administrators, and community agencies. 

...work with parents/guardians to help their children achieve their fullest academic, social, and emotional potential. 

The Elementary School Counselor encourages parent/guardian involvement. Parents/guardians are invited to contact their child's counselor with any concerns, input and/ or requests for assistance regarding their children.
