Once you have selected the database:

Search tips:
select "Full Text Documents" to narrow down to sources with the complete text (not just a summary)
Use Advanced Search enter search word and choose "not" to narrow down the search further
Select type of source (eg. magazine, book, news) to limit sources
Filter further by selecting Publication Date, Subjects, Document Type, etc.
Once you have clicked on an item, you can scroll down to find the MLA citation
