Our instructional coaching team’s mission is to create an environment that supports teachers’ growth through collaboration, reflective practices, data-driven decision making and a growth mindset. Our team works to ensure high-quality, equitable teaching and learning for every student.
The role of the mathematics coaching team is to:
Establish collaborative partnerships with teachers to set professional learning goals and support the teacher’s progress toward these goals through a coaching cycle.
Support and empower teachers to increase student learning, create positive student identities, and develop confident users of mathematics.
Support teachers in implementing the math curriculum.
Keep current with research on the best mathematics teaching practices.
Design and engage in professional development.
Facilitate teachers' growth in building a positive math identity and capacity in the field of mathematics.
Assist with the analysis of mathematics data to inform instruction.
Observe math lessons and provide teachers with timely feedback.
