Overdue Policies and Procedures
Books are due two weeks after they are borrowed. If they are not returned after two weeks:
An overdue slip will be sent home as a reminder to return the book or renew it ASAP. This is not a bill.
After one month:
Communication will be initiated with the student's parents by email, phone, or letter.
A bill will be sent home with the amount it cost to replace the book.
If you know where the book is, please return it. You will not have to pay for it if the book is returned in the condition it was loaned.
If the book is lost or damaged beyond repair, you can either replace the book or send a check for the replacement amount.
Cash is welcomed as a payment but we are not always able to make change in a timely manner. Checks can be made out out to the school that your child attends.
If you choose to replace the book, replacement copies must be the same as the book lost/damaged. In other words, a hardcover book must be replaced with a hardcover book.
You might receive a phone if a bill is not paid in a timely manner.
Never hesitate to contact the librarian or library ed. tech. with any questions or concerns regarding the overdue policy.
