Troubleshooting

Should you find something is wonky ALWAYS try these things first.

1. Check that you are logged into your home wifi. Your child will need to log into your home wifi in order to use their devices. Make sure the device is connected to your wifi.

2. Try a force shutdown. Hold the power button and home button at the same time until the screen goes black, then theres a pause and a white apple appears. It feels like LONG time...but hold for 10-12 seconds. You have to push the power button pretty firmly.

3. If you are unable to connect to Seesaw, try signing back in through the Clever app. This is important. You will never be asked to sign directly into Seesaw. The app is rostered through Clever so follow these steps:

  • Open Clever on the child's iPad (blue C on the 4th swipe over).

  • Scan your child's Clever QR code.

  • Scroll down to find Seesaw and tap to open it.

4. If you are on an iPad, try to reinstall the app that is causing problems. Follow these instructions.

5. Do your best with supporting your child's independence in Seesaw. There is a learning curve. The activities assigned this week are intentionally simple and use the tools they've already used previously. We'll work our way into the swing of it...but that takes a little time.
