Janelle El Ghazouani
Social Studies, Grade 6 (Eagle Team)
Education:
My educational background includes a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF), a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Student Learning from National University, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Assistant Principal Leadership from the University of Southern Maine.
Experience:
I’ve been teaching 6th grade Social Studies at Greely Middle School since 2018, and I truly love being part of this community! Before coming to Greely, I spent 12 years teaching in Brunswick, where I taught 6th grade Social Studies, Science, and Literacy at Brunswick Junior High School, as well as 3rd and 5th grade at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary. This is my 8th year teaching 6th grade Social Studies at Greely, and I’m so excited to continue sharing my passion for history and learning with my students. I hope to inspire students to explore culture and the world around them!
About the Teacher:
I live in Brunswick with my husband and our two sons, Yassine (16) and Amine (10). In my free time, I enjoy staying active, especially through sports, where I admit I can be a bit competitive ;-) I also love traveling, exploring new places, and spending meaningful time with family. As a multicultural family, we especially cherish our trips to Morocco, where we visit loved ones as often as possible.
