On Jan. 25, the Knowledge Bowl club participated in the regional competition to showcase their academic skills. This year, Liberty made a significant mark by placing ninth overall and securing first place in their division.
Knowledge Bowl is an intellectually intense competition, where students strive to demonstrate their abilities while attempting to outscore their opponents.
The event, which brought together students from across the state, tested participants on a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, science, fitness and art.
"We feel very good about how this past Saturday went," said Denise Thoreson, one of the club's sponsors. “We are waiting to see if we get invited to the state competition in March.”
The state competition will take place on March 17-18 in Greeley.
Looking ahead, Liberty’s team is already preparing for the 25-26 year season. They are motivated by their recent success at the previous competition and will continue to practice every Tuesday and Thursday.
