Liberty High School choir students performed their holiday concert on Dec. 4.
According to Elena Robles, a senior participant in choir, the audience did not know what to expect from the music. She stated, “I enjoyed listening to other choirs and watching the audience's reactions to some of the surprise songs we had.”
Before the concert started, Robles had the chance to contribute some motivating words to her peers, preparing them for their upcoming performance.
She shared, “I was able to give a speech to the choirs before our concert talking about how proud I was of them for always being so welcoming and for always putting in hard work every single day. That was memorable to me because I got to see the reactions and emotions … that made me feel so loved and happy to be in a group with them. ”
According to Robles, they put extra effort into this concert compared to other ones. That extra work paid off in the end, inducing a cheerful sensation within the audience and creating positive memories within the choir groups.
“Compared to other concerts, this specific one felt more surreal. We worked hard and got to have a lot of special moments as groups to show so much emotion and strength in our voices.”
Overall, the outcome of this concert was very positive for both choir participants and audience members. This holiday special brought joy and cheer to each and every person involved.
