Mingdao High School is located in central Taiwan with a pleasant climate. When the school was founded in 1969, it was affiliated to Rende Village, Wuri Township, Taichung County. At that time, except for the busy traffic on the Zhongshan Road provincial road at the school gate, the school was surrounded by rice fields. As Mingdao education has gradually been recognized by all walks of life, the surrounding area of the school has also become lively, and the "Mingdao Garden City" archway has also been erected on the adjacent Xingxiang Street. In 1983, even though Mingdao was already a well-known private high school for 25 years, the former Principal, Guangping Wang, was still very emotional when he retired, because some Taichung citizens still regarded Mingdao High School as a countryside school because of our location.

However, since the high-speed rail station was set up in Wuri in 2007, the Wuri area has had better opportunities for development. After Taichung county and city were merged and upgraded in 2010, Wuri Township not only became the Wuri District of Taichung Municipality, but also became the deputy capital of Taichung! Then the Taichung MRT Green Line will open to traffic in April 2021. It only takes 7 minutes to walk to Jiude Station, and it takes 5 minutes away to the convenience of the three railways by car, plus the 74 Expressway and National Highway No. 1, Taichung City Double Ten Bus (a total of 15 routes connecting various places), and YouBike2.0 is set up by school gates. At the moment, Mingdao has become the school with the best geographical location in Central Taiwan.

Over the years, Mingdao has maintained a good neighborly relationship. It often arranges students to do community care and service. It also combines business management, art design, catering and sightseeing courses with student expertise to assist community development. . In recent years, the "Wuri Life Circle" project has been launched to improve the pedestrian environment around the school, especially on the road leading to Jiude Station of the MRT.

In 2021, the 20 billion investment project of the "High-speed Rail Entertainment Shopping City" located in the Wuri-Japan High-speed Railway Special Zone was officially signed, and it is expected to be opened in 2026. The location of the case is only a 5-minute drive from Mingdao, and you can even go there by riding a YouBike.
