FEATURE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION
The aims of the Asia-Pacific Young Leaders Convention are to develop the next generation of international-minded leaders, and to let them create new values among delegates through the deliberations of the theme “Embracing Unity, Valuing Diversity”.
The iGEM competition is an annual biology event that gives students the opportunity to push the boundaries of synthetic biology by tackling everyday issues facing the world. Our students are honored to have won consecutive Gold Medals for the past 7 years.
MUN is an annual two-day event. Students will go through various lessons to learn how to become a good chair, including how to decide on a conference issue after research and writing a background guide; practicing writing a Statement of the Problem according to the issue of their choice.
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a global event that focuses on high school robotics. Every year, groups of high school pupils, trainers, and advisors collaborate for six weeks to design robots that can participate in the current year's game.
ABOUT MINGDAO
Mingdao High School was founded in 1969, it consists of four academic departments, Junior High, Senior High, Vocational High, and International Departemt. In total, there are more than 7,300 students and 550 staff om campus. Mingdao's enduring success in the past 50+ years has earned it a reputation for being one of the most renowned schools in Taiwan.

INTERNATIONAL DEPARTMENT
Mindao's Global Citizenship Program was established in 2007. Its aim was to provide tailored courses for students who seel to study higher education abroad. Mingdao International Department went on to become the very first international Baccalaureate (IB) World Schoold in Central Taiwanm offering two IB programnes in 2018, IB MYP and IB DP.

JUNIOR HIGH DEPARTMENT
Mingdao's Junior High Department has been adhering to the concept of "competence" since its founding, and has developed all the way up to now. The so-called "competence" not only emphasizes the transmission of knowledge, but also the cultivation of attitudes and values.Stuends can discover their own advantages and give full play to their personal potential in Mingdao!

Students in Senior High Department are mostly from our Junior High Department. Reading, Thinking, and Express are the foudation of Mingdao Education, and with these solid, students are encouraged to discover and develop they interests and potentials by our aboundent resouces. Self Interest Group is one of our feature resouces.

VOCATIONAL HIGH DEPARTMENT
There are 8 programmes in Mingdao's Vocational High Department, including Tourism Management, Restaurant and Catering Services, Art, Graphic Design, Business Management, English, Information System, and Electrical Engineering. Courses are sophisticated designed to help students devlop comprehensive knowledge and vocational skills so as to enhance job opportunities or further study.
