Parent/Guardian Steps to Checking Your Child's Homework

Step 1: Have your child log in on their Chromebook

Step 2: Have your child open up their Google Classroom 

Step 3: Choose “History” class

Step 4: Click on the “Classwork” tab at the top of the page

Step 5: Click on “View Your Work” which is located above your child’s assignments

Step 6: Take notice of your child’s assignments, if they are missing, if they have been turned in, and the grade that they received.

If you would like to see your child’s turned in assignment, they should be able to click on the assignment to show you their answers.

Improve Grades for Daily Notes 

Students are allowed to turn in late notes up until the end of the chapter. 

Students are not allowed to redo their notes. However, I do provide everything they need to be successful on their Notes in Google Classroom.  The steps to be successful are below: 

Step 1: Log in to their Chromebook

Step 2: Open up their Google Classroom

Step 3: Click on the daily Hyperdoc

Step 4: Click on the Student Google Slide or the Student Google Slide Video Lesson if they would like to listen to me going through the lesson.

Step 5: Open up the daily Notes assigned on Google Classroom, I would recommend putting the Notes and the Student Google Slides side-by-side. (If you do not know how to do that, please watch this video Split-Screen Video)

Step 6: Use the Google Slide to answer the daily Notes. *** Remember to use the textbook slide in your Student Google Slide that is above the questions. That slide will have the answers you need for those specific questions.

Step 7: Check over your answers to make sure they are marked the way you want it.

Step 8: Submit your Notes, you can click on “VIEW ACCURACY” after you submit to see the correct answers. 

*** Students:  All answers, besides opinion questions, can be found in the Student Google Slide. Remember you can always ask me questions in person, on Go Guardian Chat or Email.

Improve Grades for Quizzes

Students are not allowed to redo their quizzes. I would recommend students fill out the optional study guide that is attached to their daily hyperdocs. They should double-check their answers on their daily Notes or textbook to make sure they are correct.
