Rob Ledin

Boys Head Coach

Alternative Education Director and Driver Education Instructor.
35th year in education and 30th year as a head coach, 20th year at Mahomet-Seymour.
Grew up on the south side of Chicago wrestling for the Vittum Vikings. Then attended St. Laurence High School in Burbank. Varsity Chicago Catholic League Champion 1985, Fresh/Soph CCL Champ 1982 and Regional Champion 1984 & 1985. Captain 1985.
Received Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from Illinois State University 1990 and Masters Degree in Educational Administration 2006.
- Varsity "I" Wrestling Letterman.
Lives in Mahomet with wife Christa and have three children; Laura, Kiel and Jenna. Celebrated 35th year wedding anniversary in August.

Craig Acree

Boys Varsity Assistant Coach

Operations Manager at Adams Outdoor Advertising.
IWCOA Assistant Coach Of The Year: 2020
Graduated from Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley-Fisher (GCMSF) HS and was a four year varsity letterman in both wrestling and football. Placed 3rd and 4th in the State. Won 140 matches ranking him 3rd all-time at GCMS. Still holds the school record for Tech Falls and Takedowns. Freestyle and Greco All-American at both Cadet and Junior levels.
Attended the University of Illinois where he received his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
At the age of 21 became the head coach at St. Joseph HS. Then moved to his alma mater as an assistant where he helped coach 7 state placers and a 2nd place Dual Team. Took the head coaching position at Rantoul HS before moving to M-S. Compiled 101 head coaching victories.
Lives in Mahomet with his two children; Iris and Liliana.

Jeff Castor

Girls Head Coach

Location Manager for Premier Cooperative at both Thomasboro and Leverette.
Grew up and wrestled for Mahomet-Seymour High School from 1989 to 1992; Member of the 1989 State Champion Dual Team and the 3rd place Dual Team in 1991.
State Champion in 1992 at 112 pounds. Also placed 2nd in 1991 at 112 lbs. and 4th in 1990 at 103 lbs.
Holds three spots on the All-Time Career Leader Boards: 5th in Wins at 146; 3rd in Takedowns at 480; and second in Tech Falls at 30.
Attended Illinois State University in Bloomington, Illinois receiving his BS in Agri-Business in 1996. He wrestled for ISU before the program dissolved in 1995.
Assistant coach for Leroy High School Wrestling for 3 years.
Moved back to Mahomet in June of 2013 with his wife, Jennifer and their sons; Wyatt, Briar, and Colton.

Zach Stafford

Grew up in Mahomet and wrestled for Coach Ledin from 2010-2014.
Honorable Mention Corn Belt Conference 2014.
7th year coaching.
Currently lives in Seymour with wife Marisa.

Mark Miller

JV Head Coach

20 plus years of combat sports experience.
20 plus years of strength and conditioning experience.
Machine Gunner in the United States Marine Corps.
Currently lives in Mahomet with his wife and two daughters.

Hunter Crowley

JV Assistant Coach

Hunter went on to Millikin University wrestling all 4 years and graduating with Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Hunter currently works for Carle Hospital.
Grew up in Mahomet and wrestled for M-S under Coach Ledin from 2013-2017.
Hunter was a Captain and three time state qualifier earning 4 varsity letters in his career at Mahomet-Seymour.
Hunter placed 1st at the Sidney MT Invitational, 1st at our own Marty Williams Invitational in his senior season. Hunter was a 3 time Regional Champion and 3 time Sectional Champion.
Hunter placed 2nd and 4th in the state and earned the Bulldog Award, Most Valuable Wrestler Award as well as earning the B.J. Ironman Award all 4 seasons.
Hunter's won 147 matches, 80 by Fall in his high school career.
This is Hunter's 6th year coaching.
Hunter lives in Mahomet with his wife Brooke.

Nick Morphew

Senior Lab Coordinator for the School of Integrative BIology at the University of Illinois
Graduated from Prophetstown HS and was a 3x time state qualifier in wrestling and 2x state qualifier in track for Erie-Prophetstown. IHSA runner-up at 125 in 2000. Career wrestling wins leader at time of graduation. IWCOA Class A Scholastic Wrestler of the Year in 2000.
A four-year starter for Lawrence University amassing over 100 wins and qualifying for the 2004 NCAA Division III Championships. Three-time Academic All-American. Degree in Biology with honors.
Coached at Centennial HS for 10 seasons earning an IWCOA Assistant Coach of Year Nomination. Coached at MSHS, MSJHS, and the MS Youth Wrestling Club. Was coached by or has coach with 3 IWCOA Hall of Famers: Tod McCullough, Ed Mears, and Rob Ledin

James Noonan

Wrestled for Hall of Fame coach Walter Thurnau at Southwestern High School in Jamestown NY from 1994-99 (5 year varsity letter recipient)
Section VI champion in 1999; Regional champion in 1997 and 1999
Despite having 2 HS seasons cut short, had 105 career wins
Had a record of 43-4 senior year (29 wins by pin - a school record at the time), winning multiple tournaments and qualifying for the NY State Championships
Multiple years of exper ience and awards in freestyle and greco roman between 1993-99
Coached at Mahomet Seymour Junior High under James Heinold for three years, including a 4th place finish as a team in 2024
Graduated from UW-Madison with a BA in Southeast Asian Studies and History; received a Masters degree in East Asian Languages and Cultures and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois
Has lived in Mahomet with wife Monica and their 4 children since 2011

Daniel Renshaw

Volunteer Assistant Coach

Daniel Renshaw is a former Mahomet-Seymour wrestler, captain, and two-time 5th place state placer.
After graduating from Mahomet in 2021, he continued his wrestling career at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign where he secured several heavyweight collegiate wins including 6th place finishes at the Lindenwood Open Tournament and the Jim Koch Wisconsin Open.
During his undergraduate studies at the U of I, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering with minors in Spanish and Chemistry.
Due to his athletic and science backgrounds, he decided to further his education at the U of I and began his graduate program in Nutritional Sciences in June of 2025.
After finishing competing, Daniel decided to help coach back at home to give back to the community and stay involved in wrestling.

Mateo Casillas

Mateo currently attends Millikin College and is a member of the wrestling team.
Mateo wrestled for M-S under Coach Ledin from 2019-2023
Mateo was a 3 Time All-State Wrestler winning the IHSA State Title in 2023, 3rd in 2022 and 2nd in the IWCOA State Tournament in 2021.
Mateo is tied with Brett Camden for Most Wins in School History with 175. Mateo also holds other records: Most Wins in a Season with 57; Most Career Falls with 85; Best Winning Percentage at 195, 54-1, 98.2%.
Mateo was a 2 Time Captain and 2 Time Bulldog Award Winner both in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons.
Mateo was a member of 4 Top 8 Team Finishes in the IHSA and IWCOA Team Competitions and helped our team finish 3rd in the IHSA Dual Team in 2022.
