ABOUT THE TEACHER
This will be my 24th year here at Lincoln Trail. I taught 4th grade for 18 years, 3rd grade for 5 years, and this will be my first year teaching Special Education. My family moved to Mahomet when I was in 7th grade and I graduated from Mahomet-Seymour High School in 1996. I got my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University and I received my masters degree in Special Education from the University of Illinois. I live here in Mahomet with my husband and three daughters. My husband works at Farm Credit and we have been married for 22 years. Our oldest 2 daughters are in college and our youngest is a sophomore in high school. We also have a lot of pets, 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 birds, and a hedgehog. When I'm not a school I love spending time with my family. I especially love spending time with my girls! Our favorite thing to do is go get coffee from Starbucks or Dunkin. This summer I have been spending a lot of time practicing driving with my youngest daughter who is learning how to drive. I also love to take my dogs on walks. I really enjoy teaching am looking forward to another great year!
