Success in Compacted Math depends on more than test scores. Click the "What Predicts Success?" button above to access a self-assessment tool that helps parents reflect on the habits, mindset, and academic readiness that often contribute to success in an accelerated math course.
Highly recommended, not required. Click the "Summer Boot Camp Review" button above to access IXL skills, tutorials, and a pacing guide designed to help students build a strong foundation before Compacted Math begins in August. Start with Priority 1: Critical Foundations, which covers the 15 most important TEKS students should review first. Once opened, make a copy and save it to your Google Drive.
Students who qualify for Compacted 1 Math are automatically enrolled for the upcoming school year. If, after reviewing the information and resources on this website, you feel that Compacted 1 Math is not the best fit for your child, you may choose to opt out and return to grade-level mathematics instruction. Just click the "Compacted Math Opt-Out Form" button above to download the form
Completed opt-out forms must be submitted to Julie Stephens at julie.stephens@southlakecarroll.edu and are due by July 20, 2026.
