Class Overview

Welcome to 5th Grade!  We have an exciting year ahead and many new concepts to cover!  My goal is to help every student reach his or her full potential! I will be teaching math and science this year and I'm looking forward to a fun and productive year!

Homework 

Our class will cover many new skills this year and we need to stay focused on practicing and applying these new skills.  Therefore, I will assign homework to students as needed, Monday through Thursday. 

Late Work

Any late homework will receive a late grade of 70 minus the points of the answers that are incorrect.  Students will not receive a late grade if they were absent when the assignment was given out; however, the assignment must be completed in a timely manner and according to the extended due date. 

Retaking Test/Quiz 

Tests and quizzes may be taken a second time if requested by the student.  The highest grade you may earn by retaking a test/quiz is a 90.  

Any test/quiz requests must be submitted on the Test/Quiz Correction Form.
