The Westview Theatre Company is excited to announce the 2026 Production of

The Somewhat True Story of Robin Hood!

This is will be Fourth production with a brand new cast and crew of students grade 8-12 at Westview Secondary. We will be bringing 7 shows for SD42 elementary schools to attend for a local field trip with over 260 students in attendance per show. Our focus continues to promote our growing theatre & Drama programs but also to showcase one of the amazing opportunities available for students who attend Westview!

This funny tale our gallant guy-in-green tries his best as we swaggers through The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, as a frantically funny, Monty Pythonesque retelling of the classic, written by Mary Lynn Dobson.

Westview's production will run

February 2026

Our cast list will be set in September 2025 along with the beginning of production & rehearsals! We look forward to seeing everyone in attendance this coming February!

This is our Third production with a brand new cast and crew of over 50 students grade 8-12 at Westview Secondary. We will be bringing 7 shows for SD42 elementary schools to attend for a local field trip with over 260 students in attendance per show. This years focus is to promote our growing theatre & Drama programs but also to showcase one of the amazing opportunities available for students who attend Westview!

This version of The Wizard of Oz was adapted by Erin Detrick this imaginative adaptation captures the heart of L. Frank Baum's classic tale.

Westview's production will run from

Tuesday, February 18, 2025 to Friday, February 28, 2025.

The Westview Drama Club had an exciting 2024 Production of

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory!

This is our second production with a brand new cast and crew of over 40 students grade 8-12 at Westview Secondary. We will be bringing 6 shows for SD42 elementary schools to attend for a local field trip with over 260 students in attendance per show. This years focus is to promote our growing theatre & Drama programs but also to showcase one of the amazing opportunities available for students who attend Westview!

This version of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory was adapted by Richard R. George from the fantasies of Roald Dahl. Westview's production will run from

Monday, February 12, 2024 to Friday, February 16, 2024.

Our cast list has been set and we have begun production & rehearsals! We look forward to seeing everyone in attendance this coming February!

The production of Alice in Wonderland was the opening re-introduction of theatre at Westview Secondary.

There were 5 shows in total, with 29 cast members and 12 stage/ lighting crew. This production was open as a field trip to the local feeder schools to Westview, being Laityview, Glenwood, MRE, Hammond and Fairview where over 260 students attended each day.

This version of Alice in Wonderland was adapted by Jason Pizzarello from the stories of Lewis Carroll. Westview's production ran from Wednesday, February 22, 2023 to Friday, February 24, 2023.

Seasonal Events

Frost Fest

Frost Fest is a school wide Holiday assembly hosted by the Westview Drama Club. It is a combination of Lipsync battles and leadership games/ activities. This assembly is a way to connect, inspire, and have some fun before the holiday break.

Frost Fest will be held annually on the last day of school before winter break.
