CHLA - Literally Healing Book Drive
When: Last day of book drive is May 7
Where: There will be a box set up in the library, along with the boxes already set out at Surf Boba and Moorpark Karate/Krav-Maga, OR use the Amazon Wishlist
What: The Literally Healing program at CHLA requests entirely new books to prevent infection. These books are for parents, siblings, caregivers, friends, and of course, patients. (Meaning books can be all ages and genres)
TO RECEIVE CREDIT: 2 Books = 1 Credit

Ventura Country Rescue Mission
Clothing + item drive for women and children of Ventura County in commemoration of Women's History Month!
When: Last day to drop of donations will be the Friday before our next meeting
What: Clothing, purses, hats, shoes, blankets, toys, and books. (Gently used or new)
Where: Donations can be dropped off in front of the library
TO RECEIVE CREDIT: 2 items = 1 credit, drop of donations in a bag with your name, grade, and student ID on it.
Don Green Invitational
When: March 4th and 5th, 2022
This coming Friday and Saturday
Where: Moorpark High School Track Stadium
What: Must volunteer as least 2 hours for a single activity credit and take a picture of you volunteering or have a signed volunteer form
How: Speak to staff in the athletic office to schedule your volunteer time
Will be hot and outside so please dress according to the weather

Measles and Rubella Vaccination
The Measles and Rubella Initiative is a global vaccination initiative that partners with Red Cross.
It is donation based and for every $2 donated a person gets a vaccination.

Thanksgiving Food Drive
Donate non-perishable Thanksgiving Foods; to donate to Moorpark Pantry Plus!

How: Accepting donations of canned soup, canned vegetables, cooking oil, and jam. !!CANNOT BE EXPIRED!!
In order to receive credit: Clearly label all donations (sticky note/in a bag) with name, grade, and number of items donated. 2 items = 1 credit, 4 items = 2 credits.
Battle of the Bands
This is the MHS Music Program’s biggest fundraiser of the year! Help to make this a successful event and host over 30 marching bands.
When: November 13th, 2021; time depends on selected volunteer slot.
*** 1 shift = 1 credit, 2 shifts = 2 credits; MUST BE STATED IN EMAIL***
Where: Moorpark High School
How: Sign up via the Charms Calendar with your name and contact information. If you are prompted to enter a code to view the calendar, the code is “ moorparkmusic”.
In order to receive credit: send in a picture of your signed community service form or a picture of you volunteering via Gmail! You MUST include your name and grade in your submission.
Activity: Study Groups/Tutoring
Assist students with school subjects, build your
resume, and strengthen your academic understanding!
When: Every Wednesday (starting 11/17) from 8-9am

Activity: Earth Day Appreciation/ Awareness
Repost one of the posts saved under the “Earth Day” highlight on the CSF Instagram account to your own Instagram and make sure to tag @moorpark_csf in your story
OR you can pick up trash at a public space (park, parking lot, etc.) and send a screenshot to moorparkcsf@gmail.com with “Earth Day Activity” as the subject

Activity: James Storehouse Canned Food Drive
James Storehouse is a community based non-profit that fulfills emergency requests to expedite the safe placement of orphaned children and assists aged-out youth as they transition out of foster care.

Activity: My Stuff Bags Baby Items Drive
The My Stuff Bags Foundation provides children who have suffered great trauma throughout their childhood with new belongings
Urgent need for baby items so we are holding a drop-off drive
Baby items include: clothes, bibs, pacifiers, toys, bottles, toiletries, and blankets
All donations must be new, only donate items on the list please

Activity: CSF Virtual Leadership Conference
This Zoom conference aims to have CSF members in different schools across California network with each other and foster new relationships. As the CSF website states, this is a student-focused event to share ideas, answer questions, and gain experiences involving your CSF Chapter!
When: Saturday, February 20th, 2021 from 9AM- 12 PM
As per the CSF website, registration has closed but if you already registered, be sure to take pictures of the event and email them to moorparkcsf@gmail.com with the subject as “Virtual Leadership Conference”

We will be taking donations to put together care packages for local healthcare personnel including small essentials like hand sanitizer and tissues.

Personal Letter to Senior Citizens Activity
Write a meaningful, personalized letter to a senior citizen giving them some hope during these difficult circumstances! It is encouraged that you decorate your letter to make it more personable! :)
Place letter in envelope and label envelope “CSF Senior Citizen Letter” along with name and grade
Drop off envelope w/ letter at the front office and tell front office that you are dropping off a letter for the CSF Senior Citizen Letter Drive

These letters will be delivered to Moorpark Active Adult Center for Senior Citizens
Activity: Local Charity School Supply Drive
What: Donate school supplies to children supported by a local non-profit charity!
When: Dec. 14th- Dec.18th
School Supply List (all items must be new): pencils, colored pencils, crayons, pencil pouch, erasers, glue sticks, calculator, notebook paper, notebooks, pens, highlighters, pocket folders, three ring binder, and non-toxic markers
On each item you are donating, make sure to write your name and grade on a sticky note or piece of paper attached to the item!
We will have cardboard boxes labeled “CSF School Supplies” set up in the front of the MHS Library in the office parking lot where you can drop your donations off
