Celebrating early-stage green economy solutions in Mpumalanga

The Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency, supported by GreenCape in partnership with the UK PACT, invite innovators and entrepreneurs with economically viable green economy innovation business in Mpumalanga to enter the 2023 Mpumalanga green solutions pitch challenge.

Enter your green economy Pre-venture (Ideation, conceptual) or Early stage start-up (proof of concept e.g. pilot project running, looking for first round of seed funding) phase businesses to stand a chance of pitching to a panel of esteemed judges at a “shark tank-style” hybrid networking event, hosted in Mpumalanga on 1 November 2023. Network with potential investors, business incubators, local government decision-makers and green economy experts. 

Your solution needs to be applicable to one or more of the green economy sectors: Renewable energy, sustainable mobility, sustainable agriculture, water and sanitation, circular economy.  [See sector pages for more context about economically viable opportunities that have already been identified.] 

WHO SHOULD ENTER?

Mpumalanga-based innovators and entrepreneurs with economically viable green economy solution business ideas. 

The business solution has to be 1] Pre-venture (ideation, conceptual) or 2] Early stage start-up (Proof of concept e.g. pilot project running, looking for first round of seed funding)

Your solution needs to be applicable to one or more of the green economy sectors: Renewable energy, sustainable mobility, sustainable agriculture, water and sanitation, circular economy.

COMPETITION PRIZES & SPONSORS 

The winners of the 2023 Mpumalanga green solutions pitch challenge stand to win cash and in-kind business support prizes from Seriti Green, Anglo American Foundation, SAREBI, The Ethical Agency and a marketing video worth approximately R40 000. 

The Top 10 will also be attending an investment readiness workshop, sponsored and hosted by Thinkroom Consulting in the build up to the pitch event.
