Ann St. Laurent: Ann has served as a building rep since she taught at Nathan Hale. Ann is the epitome of what a building rep should be. She reminds everyone to donate to the raffle, to vote, to write to legislators, to attend board meetings... there is really no end to the information Ann provides for Bennet teachers. In addition to that Ann is ALWAYS available to answer questions and to attend meetings. She provides support and shares her expertise generously. Ann has served on the negotiations committee and more. We are so lucky to have Ann as one of our building reps at Bennet. Indeed the entire association benefits from Ann's dedication to our association.

Amanda consistently goes so far above and beyond for all students and staff alike. She is a very active member in the MHS community, takes on extra responsibilities and attends school events, is an outstanding co-teacher, and always lends an ear when people need to chat.
Amanda is the epitome of a team player. She is constantly working with multiple grade levels of teachers to provide insight and design supports for our most at-risk students. She is always willing to share her ideas and her suggestions make us all better teachers. Amanda is constantly encouraging our students to be the best version of themselves and I am always impressed with her ability to leverage her relationships with students and families to get them to succeed. In addition, Amanda also organizes events, like our pep rally, to build community within our school. It's an honor to work with her and she has tremendous impact on so many of us here at MHS.

Mary facilitated our MEA Trivia Night and it was a great success. We are very lucky to have someone like Mary to make Trivia Night a fun and great experience for all!
February 2025
Andrea and Jacquelyn have gone above and beyond this month after everything that happened at Verplank. They have attended numerous meetings at the building level as well as the district level. They have listen to and support their colleagues in a variety of ways.
Jen Vignone
Jen works tirelessly for the teachers in Manchester. Personally, as a new teacher to this district last year, Jen was the most patient and informative confidant that I could have asked for. She helped me through the year nearly everyday. In addition, she serves as a building rep and as a member of the executive board. However, it's her dedication to her political work that makes Jen outstanding. She is constantly reaching out to our legislators to advocate for all the teachers in Manchester and our state as a whole.
Jess always keeps the Bennet staff informed about all the wonderful things the MEA does. She is helpful and kind to staff who need assistance and is an active participant in all MEA events! Thank you Jess for all you do!
Wendy has been incredible in sharing information and resources, with especially new staff. Without her help this year it would have been a lot more difficult for staff to be successful. Wendy is caring, dedicated, and an incredible teacher. Her colleagues feel very lucky to be a part of her team and feel it's been a pleasure working with her.
Jill did a wonderful job in her role on the executive board. She spent a lot of time and effort making sure that the person/people that took over had what they needed in order to be successful. Jill sat down with the new people that are working in that position and went over every event in detail. She cares about MEA and its success. She is always willing to answer any questions. Thank you Jill!
