Creative Chaos & the #ImprovEducator
Giving students voice and choice in their learning is imperative, but with new technologies drastically changing the way our students learn and our classrooms operate, how do we as educators transition from sage on the stage to guide on the side ? Often times, the idea of "straying from the script" can make teachers feel as if they are welcoming chaos into their classrooms. However, it is in those moments of "creative chaos" that true learning can take place. In this keynote, the audience will participate in an #ImprovEducator exercise following the 4 rules of improvisation. Through this balance of structure and creative flexibility, both teachers and students can learn to embrace the #ImprovEducator mindset into their teaching and learning.
