Q: Who is Granny Squannit?
A: Granny Squannit is an old Wampanoag legend of a elderly medicine four ft. tall woman who has one huge eyeball in the middle of her forehead. Granny Squannit wore her long hair in her face to hide her appearance. She also lived deep in the woods in a hide away cave to avoid locals. Granny Squannit has the reputation of snatching misbehaving children deep through the woods into her cave and reprimanding them for their misconduct. She would release the children upon their promise to do better. However, Granny Squannit, like all elders, has a soft side. She would give respectful children presents.
