Wheeler School Clubs

What is it: Student leadership club that helps organize activities and fundraisers for the community. 

Who can participate: 4th and 5th Graders who have completed the parent and teacher recommendation paperwork.

When do they meet: 3rd Wednesday each month. 7:45 - 8:20 am

Who is in charge: Mrs. Wurtele and Mrs. Wismer

What is it: Kindness Club is all about spreading kindness to the students and staff members at Wheeler.

Who can participate: Students are nominated by their teachers each year. Students nominated this year or years prior are welcome, and so are students who are wanting to spread kindness at Wheeler!

When do they meet: Once a month on Tuesdays at 7:45am.

Who is in charge: Mrs. Taylor, Miss Timmons, and Miss Steensma

What is it: Unified Clubs bring together students with and without intellectual disabilities for sports, games, community service, school events, and most of all, to have fun! 

Who can participate: All students! 

When do they meet: The last Wednesday of every month from 1:15-1:45.

What is it: Educators Rising is a club for students interested in learning about the different jobs in the education field and who love to learn!

Who can participate: 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders

When do they meet: One Thursday a month at 7:45am.

Who can participate: 3rd-5th grade students who are nominated by their classroom teachers

When do they meet: Monday and Thursday mornings from 7:45-8:15
