Upchurch Book Club

The Upchurch Book Club is full of fun, laughter, reading, and a little friendly competition. In the Upchurch Book Club, we discuss all 10 Millard Reads! Nominee books for the current school year. We do this in preparation for an Upchurch Elementary Millard Reads! Quiz Bowl where students are placed in teams of 4-5 to use their collective knowledge of the plots of the books to compete against other teams.

The Upchurch Book Club is a time commitment on your child’s part. Here is some information about the club for you and your child to talk through to decide if this club is something your child is interested in.

Participants commit to read at least 8 of the 10 Millard Reads! Nominee chapter books. Books can be checked out from Upchurch’s library.

Participants agree to attend all Uphcurch Book Club meetings. The club will meet Wednesday mornings in the library at 7:30 a.m. beginning in January.
