About My Site

Action research and inquiry as stance (Cochran-Smith, 2009) is how I approach learning and instruction as an education professional. This site is the culmination of action research I conducted during the 2017-2018 school year in high school Spanish. Through investigating and implementing research-based reading and storytelling strategies, I analyzed how these strategies influenced reading proficiency. Learn more through exploring my site!

I am in my first-year teaching at a socially and economically diverse high school in the metropolitan area. My passions are relationships, traveling, and challenging myself. These emerge daily in my practice as I learn how to leverage students' strengths and my experiences to bring Spanish instruction to life. Integrating digital tools alongside effective instructional strategies are critical to my practice.
