Hey y’all! I’m Margo Petz, the Lead Literacy Interventionist at Rohwer Elementary. I began my career in education in 2000 after earning my degree in Elementary Education (K–6) from the University of South Alabama. (Yes—I’m a proud Southern girl… Roll Tide! 🐘)
After moving to Omaha, I continued pursuing my passion for teaching and literacy by earning a Master’s in Reading (K–12) in 2010 and a Master’s in Administration (K–12) in 2013, both from the University of Nebraska–Omaha. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a variety of grade levels in both Alabama and Nebraska, and each experience has strengthened my commitment to helping students grow into confident, capable readers. 📚✨
Outside of school, my greatest joy is my family. I’m the proud mom of three wonderful daughters, one step daughter and one step son...and the very grateful grandmother of four amazing grandchildren—one sweet granddaughter and three energetic grandsons! My weekends are often filled with swimming, golfing, traveling, DIY projects, spending time with family, and of course, plenty of reading. 🏊♀️⛳✈️
I’m truly excited to be part of the Rohwer community and look forward to supporting our students as they grow and succeed on their literacy journey! 📖🌟
