Changing Climate
Students take on the role of environmental scientists to study the causes and effects of climate change, including both natural and human factors. Students will analyze data, research real-world climate issues, and explore how these changes affect weather, ecosystems, and people. Finally, they will collaborate to create a product that demonstrates their learning and proposes solutions to reduce environmental impact.
Rock Transformation
Students take on the role of geoscience consultants to recommend sustainable ways to extract and use Earth’s natural resources. They will research Earth’s systems, model geologic processes, explain the formation and distribution of natural resources, and design solutions that consider environmental and societal impacts.
Moonbase Alpha
Students take on the roles of an engineer, scientist, and designer tasked with creating a sustainable lunar habitat. Students apply Earth, Moon, and Sun space concepts to solve real-world engineering problems from generating power and growing food, to protecting against lunar hazards and maintaining life support systems.
