Formal Concert Attire
(for all concerts except the Roctober Concert)

Women's solid black ankle-length full dress w/ modest neck line and ¾ length sleeves*

*The orchestra dresses are ordered in bulk each year for an individual price of $58.00 per dress. Checks to Millard South Orchestras can be delivered to Dr. Rom.

6:30PM - Call time (Concert dress is "rock star costume" Dress as your favorite rock star. Makeup and wigs are encouraged. Wear all black if you don't want to wear a costume.)
6:35PM - Tuning check
6:50PM - Move to auditorium seats
7:00PM - Concert begins

DINNER & CONCERT
Thursday, December 7, 2023 @ MSHS Auditorium
3:20pm - Set up begins in cafeteria
4:30pm - Orchestra students eat (bring $8 cash)
4:50pm - Yearbook photo is taken (dress in formal black concert uniform)
5:00pm - Doors open to audience and performances begin in cafeteria
6:45pm - Performances finish in cafeteria. Audience and performers move to auditorium
7:00pm - Formal concert in auditorium
7:30pm - Clean up/put items away.
8:00pm - Event ends.
ALL-MILLARD ORCHESTRA CONCERT
Monday, January 29, 2024 @ Baxter Arena
SYMPHONY & CHAMBER STUDENTS:
BRING A MUSIC STAND!!!
Arrive at MSHS to load buses at 8:00AM. Depart for Baxter Arena by 8:20AM.
Rehearsal with guest clinician at Baxter.
Load buses to return to school at 12:30pm.
Arrive at MSHS by 12:50pm.
PHILHARMONIC STUDENTS:
BRING A MUSIC STAND!!! & A SACK LUNCH!!
Dismissed from class at 11:00am. Go right to the black box. Take lunch, instrument, music stand, and music to the bus. Depart for Baxter Arena by 11:15am. Eat your sack lunch on the bus.
Rehearsal with guest clinician at Baxter.
Load buses to return to school at 2:05pm.
Arrive at MSHS by 2:30pm.
ALL STUDENTS:
You must provide your own transportation to and from the concert.
6:30pm - Call time for concert (Dressed in formal black concert uniform) at Baxter Arena
7:00pm - Concert begins.

4:00pm - Change into black concert uniforms. Seniors pick up senior sashes from Dr. Rom
4:30pm - Orchestra students eat (bring $8)
5:00pm - Doors open to audience and performances begin in cafeteria. Pancake Man begins service.
5:00pm - Symphony Orchestra
5:25pm - Philharmonic Orchestra (includes guest 4th and 5th graders around 5:40pm)
5:50pm - Chamber Orchestra Sophomores & Juniors
6:15pm - Chamber Seniors
6:35pm - Senior recognition
6:45pm - Senior group photos. After photos, clean up/put away your job items
6:45pm - 9-11 graders clean/re-set cafeteria & put all items away while seniors do group photos
6:45pm - Performances finish in cafeteria. Pancake Man ends service.
6:55pm - Audience and performers move to auditorium
7:00pm - Formal concert in auditorium
7:30pm - Event ends
NEASTA Young Orchestra Festival
(Philharmonic only)

7:00am - call time - Concert black formal uniforms
7:30am - formal rehearsal in black box
8:00am - PERFORM on stage in competition
8:30am - Volunteer jobs begin (optional).
1:00pm - Event ends.
Graduation Orchestra Performance
(Grades 9-11 only)
Saturday, May 25, 2024 @ Baxter Arena
3:45PM - Load buses at MSHS (dressed in concert black clothes)
4:15PM - Arrive at Baxter Arena and set up
4:30PM - Begin performing prelude music (Momentum, Journey, Slingshot, Mamma Mia, Havana, Pirates of the Caribbean)
4:55PM - Processional (Pomp and Circumstance & Star Spangled Banner)
5:00PM - Graduation (bring a book to read or something to do quietly)
6:something - Recessional (School song-Onward to Victory on repeat until lips/arms fall off), then load buses to return to MSHS.
