Coach Thorn is in his fifteenth year of teaching and coaching at Millard South High School. He was a member of the boys basketball coaching staff for twelve years and is now entering his third year as the Millard South Head Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Thorn is a graduate of Kearney High School where he competed in tennis, basketball, track, and baseball. He attended Junior College at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, NE where he earned all-region honors. He finished his collegiate playing career at Bellevue University, where he was named an NAIA scholar-athlete during his senior campaign and the Bellevue Bruins finished as national runner-up. He has a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College. Coach Thorn and his wife Angela live in the Millard area with their daughters Charlie and Logan. 

Coach Maddie is Millard South basketball alum playing from 2016-2020. After that, she went and played division 1 basketball at South Dakota for two years where she won 2 conference championships and a sweet sixteen appearance her sophomore year. Coach finished up her playing career at Nebraska playing 2 more years in the big ten and represented her team as a captain. Coach Maddie has spent time coaching for Nebraska attack and is making a return for her second year of coaching at Millard South. She also just got married this August! 

Coach Korus enters his 3rd season on Coach Thorn's staff and is the head coach of the JV program.  Also coaches in the LPBC organization as the 8th grade head coach.  Played college basketball at Bellevue University and elected into the BU Hall of Fame in 2023.  Has 2 daughters; Hayden & Harper.  He is a Director of Commercial Data Sales at DirectMail.com 

Coach Garcia is in her 3rd season of coaching on Coach Thorn's staff and is the assistant to Coach Korus. Coach Garcia is originally from Grand Island, where she competed in volleyball and basketball. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2023 and has been a Social Studies teacher at Millard South for three years now. She is currently obtaining her master's degree from Peru State College. 

Hi, I’m Coach Brown! I am student teaching here at Millard South and coaching reserve basketball along with JV volleyball. I’m new to the school but not to coaching, I’ve coached basketball and volleyball for years now. I am working on my Master’s degree at Bellevue University and I am excited to be a a part of the Millard South Community!
