AFJROTC is a high performing student organization set up as an elective for those students who want to be a part of a military type unit, with all its rules and regulations, while serving the school and the community.  We promote discipline, setting the example, and provide students with a sense of accomplishment and responsibility.  We hold our cadets to high standard of conduct, and we expect all cadets to set the example and strictly comply with both the school and JROTC codes of conduct.  AFJROTC is a "life skill" building program that is heavily involved in community service.  However, enrollment in the AFJROTC program does not mandate any type of Armed Service commitment.

Student will be led and given tasks/instruction by cadets of higher rank and position.   We emphasize physical fitness and require exercise, to include lots of marching, and play competitive sports.  AFJROTC is not for everyone--nor is being in the Band or in Football--that is why we are set up as an elective, just as they are.  The bottom line is cadets must want to be here, be willing to set examples, serve their school and community, and must try very hard.  If cadets/students want to be here, they will benefit greatly from the experience!
