The 9th grade U.S. Government class is a survey of government principles and applications, which covers four units of study: Civic Skills and Values, Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens, Government Institutions and the Political Process, and Foreign Relations. The course objectives are for students to obtain an overview of the United States governmental powers, gain an understanding and awareness of national and international affairs, and develop a knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, the three main branches of the government, and its application at the international and state level, and to have an awareness of our individual role in the democratic process.
