Web-GIS based Land Suitability Analysis & development of Web portal

MPIDC (Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Ltd.) is acting as the Single Window Secretariat for Investment promotion and facilitation in the state since 2004. MPIDC has developed an ICT (Information & Communication Technology) enabled single window system, which allows the investor to apply online for various approvals required to setup a business in the state. Hence, assisting people through various services.

In this regard, one of the emerging requirement has been put forward by the Department of Industrial Development & Corporation, is to view the “Government Land Patch” details on map and its easy display of associated records, which shall bring insight in the formulation of planning, implementation, and management.

The Department have large inventory system and there is a huge investment made throughout at different sectors and at different levels. The State Government of Madhya Pradesh has therefore, initiated steps to enhance the management process and make it efficient at all administrative levels. As a part of this comprehensive requirement, there is an immense need to enhance the features and functions provided in the current portal, to review and analyze all associated data.

In this regard, MAP_IT shall develop set of GIS tools which shall be provided in the existing portal or GIS web application. It shall allow to view specific & detailed information on map. Also, support with an option of print for the respective area.

The Tools will be effective to serve the dynamic information management system to the Department. These GIS tools shall assist Department to identify, analyze and visualize the spatial information on map, on a single click

The purpose of this project is listed as -

To develop tools for the Department to perform search, view, analyze and print spatial information

The tool and its associated functionalities shall be provided in the existing application
