Candidates eligible for selection to this chapter must be members of the junior, or senior class
To be eligible for selection to membership in this chapter, the candidate must have been enrolled for a period equivalent to one marking period at Montclair High School.
Candidates eligible for election to the chapter shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.9 on a weighted 4.0 scale calculated. Students are notified in December of their junior year if their GPA from freshman and sophomore year qualifies. Senior students can only apply based on this GPA; not their end of junior year GPA.
Upon meeting the grade level, enrollment, and GPA standards, candidates shall then be considered based on their service, leadership, and character through an application.
The application will ask students to share examples of leadership (school and/or community) and examples of service (school and/or community). All additional information regarding the application process will be explained to students during the information session held junior year.
