About the Amphitheatre Club
The Amphitheatre Club provides students with the opportunity to interact directly with historical documents and learn about digitization, archival, preservation, and research processes with the ultimate goal of making the history of Montclair High School more easily accessible. We maintain the many historical, mostly paper, materials in the school's storage. The collection includes the central focus of our efforts, the nearly complete yearbook publication (titled The Amphitheatre). Members learn about how to scan the yearbooks and other documents, crop the raw images and convert them to PDFs that are then added to the Amphitheatre Archive's website, mhs-archive.org. Those who are interested are encouraged to take a look at the documents already digitized and made available on the website.
The club meets about every other week in Room 608 during lunch on B-days. To stay up to date, join our Google Classroom using the code d6rohwt4. For any additional questions, please feel free to email Sawyer Silberman at ssilberman26@mpsdnj.us
