The Digital Citizenship Curriculum being used for this unit are created by Common Sense Education. Lessons are aligned to the NJ Standards of Learning: Standard 9.4 (Career Readiness, Life Literacies, and Key Skills). This standard outlines key literacies and technical skills such as critical thinking, global and cultural awareness, and technology literacy that are critical for students to develop to live and work in an interconnected global economy. For Standard 9.4 Life Literacies and Key Skills, refer to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Career Readiness, Life Literacies, and Key Skills (NJSLA June 2020).

Common Sense Education has been vetted by the school district. All lessons are age-appropriate, include an essential question, objectives, visuals, key vocabulary, discussion segment, mini-video segment and an activity that students complete independently or in a small group (or with a partner).
