The Morris Plains School District is excited to offer an Integrated Preschool Program for the 2024-2025 school year. Integrated preschool is a program that includes both special education and general education students. This FULL DAY Four Year Old Program will be offered to general education children from 8:40am-2:10pm for $1200/month. Eligible students must be 4 years old on or before 10/1/24. Transportation to and from the program is the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian and will not be provided by the district.
Please follow the steps listed below to request a a spot in the lottery for your child for the Integrated Preschool 4s Program at Mountain Way School for the 2024-2025 School Year. Please note that the Integrated Preschool Program will be a LOTTERY for available seats. By completing the request for a seat and providing all required paperwork, you are guaranteed a spot in the LOTTERY and you will be notified on February 5, 2024 by 3:30pm as to whether or not you have won a seat for your child. Please note that if you previously applied for the half day program, you need not reapply as you have already received your acceptance email.
Applications (with birth certification and proof of residency) must be submitted in person to the Mountain Way School Main Office at 205 Mountain Way, Morris Plains. Applications will be received January 23rd-February 2nd between the hours of 9:30am-2:00pm. The application window will close at 2pm on February 2nd and the lottery (for all eligible applicants) will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024. You will be notified by 3:30pm on February 5, 2024 as to the status of your application.
The application process consists of three parts, all of which must be presented when dropping off your application in person. They are as follows:
Part 1: Please CLICK HERE to print and complete the application for a spot in the lottery. Please make sure that the application is fully completed prior to submitting it.
Part 2: In addition to your application, you MUST bring an ORIGINAL copy of the child's birth certificate with you. A copy will be made and the ORIGINAL birth certificate will be returned at that time.
Part 3: You MUST provide "Proof of Residency" documents when you drop off your application. Failure to do so will result in your application not being accepted. "Proof of Residency" requirements can be found by CLICKING HERE.
