Teachers can design self-paced learning modules with Google Slides to help students gain background knowledge, develop vocabulary, think through processes, as well as analyze selected texts or problems. In this Facilitated Online Learning Experience, teachers with a basic understanding of Google Slides can learn how to elevate their synchronous teaching strategies to meet the needs of their asynchronous classrooms.

Session Description: Educators will review the components of the Standards Mastery assessment and engage in hands-on exploration of Standards Mastery Results by Test for class and student. They will discuss embedded resources for instruction within reports, as well as how to prepare for and use Standards Mastery to support standards-based instruction in the classroom. Educators will explore i-Ready Reports and focus on Tools for Scaffolding Comprehension. They examine the purpose and design of these resources and begin planning for how they will select and implement appropriate scaffolds to prepare students for grade-level comprehension instruction.
