Google Classroom

Google Classroom is the online classroom for students in grades 2-12. Teachers will post assignments, resources, schedules, Zoom links, and more--as well as connect with students through comments and videos. Students will access assignments, ask questions, and turn in most of their work through Google Classroom.

Logging In From a District Chromebook

  • When students log into their Chromebook, the Student Launcher page should open automatically, and from there, students can easily navigate to Google Classroom.



Logging In From another Device

  • Every student has a unique login for Google and Google Classroom. If your child does not know their login, please contact their teacher or email Helpdesk@mpsdconnect.org

  • Students can log in from a computer: classroom.google.com or from the app on a phone or tablet.

  • Students log in with their entire username: samplestudent@mpsdconnect.org and their unique password.


Google Classroom Dashboard

  • Once logged in, students will see their Classroom Dashboard with all of the Google Classrooms they belong to. Students should check for assignments in each of their current Google Classrooms.


Navigating Google Classroom

  • Students navigate to the Stream and Classwork pages of the Google Classroom through the menu at the top (website) or bottom (app).

  • Students can view announcements and instructions from teachers in the Stream.

  • Students will view assignments and resources from their teachers in the Classwork page.


Submitting Assignments in Google Classroom

  • When students complete an assignment in Google Classroom they should click "Mark as Done" or "Turn In" so their teacher receives their work and can provide feedback. On the website, this shows up in the top right corner. On the app, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
