Bolts Photography was started in 2018 with the vision of a Digital Photography program fueled by creativity, innovation, and tapping into the creative energies of our amazing students.
Students that take Photography courses at Millville High School will be provided with the opportunity to learn from teacher/photographers, use state of the art applications, learn about and use DSLR cameras, studio equipment, Apple and PC computers, participate in fundraisers to take field trips, and take all that they learn into the field and study photography to enrich, refine, and develop their photography skills.

AP3 Photo 3- Advanced Photography
Advanced Photography is a conglomerate class combining all lessons learned in Intro and Intermediate classes. Students taking this class will be serious about photography and considering it for a career choice. We will explore many different and new techniques in digital editing, lighting and studio work, create and execute photoshoots, photographing school activities, and diving into a personal style. Students will also learn to organize and use Adobe Bridge to edit and add to their tool box of Adobe Creative Cloud.
Students will enjoy virtual or in person college experiences, tours, professional speakers, and career idea presenations. Students will self and peer critique, have in person or virtual photographic "showing" of works, and possible prints. Extra Curricular Photo Assignments may be taken on to practice or participate in for different reasons.
Students will run Bolts Photography and print, create, and fundraise for equipment, supplies, and to help fellow students. Bolts Photography is a great way to give students real life experiences and to see what it's like to have photography as a career.
Advanced Photography will have a portfolio presentation at the end of the session.
