Bear Exploration Center is a certified magnet and STEM school. We are committed to STEAM learning through all content and specialist areas. Directions
Objective: Students will know how authors use literary devices and text features to convey meaning in poetry. Students will know how the form of a poem contributes to the meaning. Students will be able to produce a product demonstrating his/her application of applying prior knowledge to textual clues to draw conclusions about an author's meaning.
Directions: We read and discussed Love That Dog by Sharon Creech as a read aloud in class together. Students wrote down top choices and were paired with a partner or worked alone to create one product/project. Students chose an activity from a choice board to create a product to share with classmates.
Guidelines: Students used search engines to research ideas and information. Students also created presentations on Google Slides and Canva.
