3.5 Create an algorithm to solve a problem as a collaborative team.

Objective:

Students will be able to work collaboratively to follow given algorithms and write an algorithm to program a robot to move to a specific target on a coding map.

Directions:

Students demonstrated their programming skills. As a class, we discussed STEM careers, specifically programming. We discussed the role of a programmer and how they have to write and test (debug) programs. Students were given the task of following algorithms and writing an algorithm as a collaborative group. I provided assistance with the task as needed.

During a later assignment, students worked in collaborative groups without teacher assistance on a Halloween coding assignment to show further understanding.

Guidelines: 

Students followed and created algorithms to show paths to certain spots on a coding map.
