Closed on Thursdays and Fridays during flex (Mrs. Tew is on lunch duty).
The library is available all day for checking in/out books, printing services, or help with research and/or finding information. NO FOOD OR DRINKS are allowed in the library.
To reserve the library before, during, or after school hours, please see Mrs. Tew.
Students are allowed to check out up to 5 books at a time and keep them for up to 14 days. After 14 days, books must be returned or renewed. Students may renew books up to 3 times.
Reference books and materials are not available for checkout not should be taken from the library unless arrangements have been made with Mrs. Tew.
Overdue books- 10 cents per day.
Lost/damaged books- cost of replacement.
Black and white copies- free from printer. If you need more than 5 copies of the same document, please ask Mrs. Tew to make copies using the copier to reduce expensive ink replacement costs.
Color copies- 25 cents per page. You must email the document to Mrs. Tew
Mrs. Tew- Your librarian is available during regular hours. If you are unable to visit the library or have questions outside of the normal school day, email Mrs. Tew at joana.tew@mps.k12.al.com. Library orientation classes are available to provide an overview of both in-house and online resources available, whole group demonstrations, and individual questions.
Atriuum- the search engine for LAMP in-house materials. Accessible from school and home! Link below.
JSTOR- an online library of academic research that includes journal articles, books, and more. See the link below for login information.
AVL- Alabama Virtual Library- provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama with 24/7 online access to premier library and information resources free of charge. Link below.
A black & white printer is available directly across from the circulation desk. You may use the computer on the table to access your document or connect to the printer using the USB cord. If you need more than 10 pages or 5 pages front/back, please ask Mrs. Tew for help on how to print and reduce expensive ink replacement costs.

Fees are the same no matter what method you use, and front/back pages count as two pages:
Black and white- free (limited to 10 pages or 5 pages front/back)

3:00 Library closes- all students must exit the library unless a faculty member is present and accountable for them.
The media center now offers poster printing! Charges are based on size of poster and typical ink coverage. You must pay for the poster through My School Bucks BEFORE your poster will be printed. Email a PDF version of your poster to Mrs. Tew with a copy of your receipt. You may pay using the links below:
