About Mr. Hawkins

I am a native of Caraway, Arkansas and a graduate of Riverside High School. My family moved back to Caraway in 2009 after being away for ten years. I received my bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Hannibal-LaGrange Southern Baptist University in Hannibal, Missouri. Then I went on to earn a Master's Degree from Lindenwood University in St. Louis. For the ten-year span while away, I taught business and computer classes in Central Missouri.

I am also a Southern Baptist Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Caraway. Prior to going into the pastorate, ministry was a vital part of my family. Candace, my wife, has served in many capacities including Director of Children's Ministries and Worship Leader. She now works at Rivercrest Elementary School as their Elementary music teacher. Together we have worked diligently in children and family ministry for several years. I also enjoy being involved in missions. In 2008, I spent 10 days on a Mission in Ghana, Africa working with Seed Ministries. Our church frequently sponsors block parties as well as taking yearly mission trips around the country.

Family is very important me. My wife and I have three children. We love to spend time together as a family traveling, playing or just watching a movie.

We are also Christian Clowns, illusionists, face painters and balloon artists. My wife and I both have an extensive background in theatre. I like to use drama, music and other creative ideas to bring to teach.
