Ms. Mennitt loves working with students on their personal essays for college applications and scholarships.
Support includes, but is not limited to brainstorming, drafting and structuring the essay, word choice/wordsmithing, and proofreading.
In the fall, students are highly encouraged to make appointments early as application deadlines are similar between different colleges and universities and the schedule does fill early.
Students are highly encouraged to research what essays they need to write in order to complete their applications. Not all schools require the personal essay and many require supplemental essays. Students should be very thoughtful about what tasks they actually need to complete in order to submit their applications.
Please double check your Common App account before responding to one of the prompts, as these are subject to change.
Also, Ms. Mennitt will regularly post essay prompts/competitions on the High School Competitions page. Some of those competitions will be tied to scholarship funds. Feel free to ask for support with those essays too.
Many colleges and universities require one or more supplemental essays. This website is updated regularly with the supplemental essay prompts for many school's applications. Remember to check the college or university's application before responding to the essay prompt given.
